Throughout the year, events with special symbolism and special importance for the culture and history of the place take place in Drama!

Starting every year, the inhabitants of the villages of Drama celebrate the coming of spring in traditional rhythms with the customs of Dionysus, which have been revived for centuries now and are a trademark of the Epiphany period. We continue our year with the Carnival of Choristi, which also has its roots in the worship of the god Dionysus, just like the Anastenaria. Spring welcomes the events of Peliti, the Horse Races of Doxato and of course Dramoinognosia, the wine festival!

During the summer, the Dramaica Youth Festival and the Eleftheria are held, while in the autumn it welcomes the International Short Film Festival. The winter of Drama is characterized by colors, lights, music and aromas, in the unique Christmas celebration, Oniroupoli, which starts every year with the celebration of the patron saint of Drama, Saint Barbara.
