Observation
In a habitat of special botanical interest with a multitude of species, many of which are unique in Europe, Drama is the perfect place for nature observation. Wild orchids, dryads, succulents, crocuses, erythronias, primroses, oregano, thyme, mint and many, many more rare and common compose a symphony for all the senses. Of particular interest is Falakro, which has been described as the "mountain of flowers" and on its today densely wooded slopes, above the Nestos river, there are ruins of the old abandoned villages literally choked by oaks, anchovies, chestnuts, fruccias and beeches. At the same time, the National Park of the Rhodope Mountains, the Menoikio mountain, the rivers and the lakes, are just a few places where you can admire the greatness of nature. Whichever area you choose to visit, one thing is certain, you will find a natural treasure to observe!
