Kostas Lazaridis Winery

In the area of Adriani, Costas Lazaridis has created a huge winery that reaches 13,000 square meters, while his vineyard exceeds 1,800 acres. Another artistic winery, where even some of its labels are adorned with works of art. Here you will have your fill of images and experience: state-of-the-art winemaking equipment, distillery, impressive underground aging cellars and well-kept tasting rooms. Although the winery’s production is large (about 700,000 bottles per year in both wineries, Drama and Kapandriti, of which 50% is exported), during its two decades of existence it has managed to keep its wines at a high-quality level. Winemaker Kostas Lazaridis has invested in collaborations with great names in the world of wine: the “flying oenologist” Michel Rolland has an advisory role in relation to red wines, Florent Dumeau for white wines, while the central oenologist for production in Drama is Giannis Oxyzidis. When it’s time to taste test between the wines of the Amethystos and Pyrgos Julia series, produced at the winery in Drama, don’t miss the top labels Château Julia Merlot and Cava Amethystos, as well as the new Domaine Costa Lazaridi trilogy. Also, in addition to excellent tsipouro, an excellent ouzo and a range of premium grape spirits, the estate produces the fine aged Cigar spirit from Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The range of the winery is completed by a series of 6 fine botanical vinegars, of different aging years, of which the ripest is Gold Seal, aged 8 years.
During the visit you will be guided through the areas of the Winery and the Distillery, you will get to know the basic process of winemaking and you will taste representative labels of the Estate. You can also buy all the products of the Estate, at special prices.
