Museum of Photography – Marble House
In the most idyllic location of Drama, in the park of Agia Varvara there is a historical monument, a work of art of the area, where photos from Drama are hosted. The photos mark the historical route of the houses of Drama from yesterday to today.
The building acquired the nickname “Marble House”, it was built in 1875 and was the home of the well-known tobacconist, Ioannis Anastasiadis. Today it functions as a center of culture and art, unique in its beauty. The tobacco warehouse building, which adjoins the “Marble House” has been restored and turned into an elegant hall where exhibitions are held and photographs from Drama are displayed, through which one can understand the life of the residents, the architecture of the area and the culture. An important part of the exhibition is the photos from the nature of Drama.
