The unique bronze statue of the Victory of Drama is 3.80 meters high; it is an elegant and imposing monument that combines classical and abstract elements and was made by the internationally renowned and acclaimed Drama artist, Pavlos Kouyoumtzis.
The same artist also made the bronze relief figures of the ancient Macedonian, the fighter of 1821, the Macedonian fighter and the fighter of 1940, which are placed on the 4 sides of the 4-meter-high marble column, on which Nike is placed, for to crown the freedom fighters. As a whole, the central element of the monument, with the statue of Victory and the 4 relief figures of the Greek fighters, is a unique composition with a lot of symbolism.
A timeless symbol, from Greek antiquity, took its place in Drama. It is a symbol for the 100th anniversary of the liberation of the city. It symbolically expresses the honor and gratitude that the Dramians owe to their ancestors for the struggles they fought, the sacrifices they suffered and the victories they achieved.
The statue is located in an area that is visible from a long radius and is easily accessible and ideal for recreation.
