Lefkogeia Lake

At a distance of 8 kilometers from Kato Nevrokopi there is an artificial lake Lefkogeion. The lake was formed by the construction of a dam, to retain the waters of the Mylorema, to satisfy the irrigation needs of the surrounding cultivated land. The forest vegetation of the area consists mainly of pine and oak forests. The beautiful landscape, which combines the wet element with forest vegetation, as well as the landscaped recreational areas built on the shores of the lake have created an excellent area for exercise and outdoor recreation.
