Mount Menoikio

Mount Menoikio is considered one of the most beautiful mountains in Macedonia, having been declared a “Natural Monument”. It has ideal Moto-routes and hiking trails that go up towards Kali Vrysi, with a view of the enchanting plain of Drama and the opposite peaks of Falakros.
For our routes we have two options:
N. Menoikio
We will move south, passing the taverns of the panoramic Kallithea, but also the unique beauty of Skopia settlement, where we will discover one of the most beautiful villages, “balcony in Menoikio”, with gurgling waters, a winery, a grill and plenty of grass. Descending we will meet Alistratis, in the cool park, which has a refreshment stand, with deer and shady trees, where we will gaze at the settlement. In addition to the cave, we will see the “Blue Waters” in the Aggiti gorge, the Voziki mansion and we will return to Drama following the E.O. coming from Serres.
NW. Menoikio
The second option starts from Kali Vrisi and N.W. moves parallel to the foothills of Menoiki towards Mikropolis. Next to the village is the K.P.E., the equestrian center and the forest of centuries-old chestnut trees, with the chapel of Panagia Kastaniotissa becoming the focus of the great festival of the “Chestnut Festival” every October. On the way back to Drama we will pass by the unique Aggiti cave and a winery in the area.
